Kucuk bir yerleske dusunun, herkes birbirini taniyor hatta birbirinin cocugunu torununu hatta ve hatta yegenini taniyor. Karaincir oyle bir yer iste. Yillar once kurulmus zamanla buyumus ama degismemis bir yer. Datca’ya gelmeden 15 km once yolun solunda kalir. Bolgenin en guzel denizine ve sahiline sahiptir. Ayni zamanda bolgenin en tatli insanlari da burada yasar.

Think of a  small town, everybody knows each other, they even know each others sons, grandsons and even cousins. That’s how Karaincir is. Built years ago and expanded sinec then but never changed. 15 km before arriving to Datca, on the left. It has the best sea and beach in the area. And in the same time has the sweetest people around this area.

Benim Karaincir maceram annemin karninda baslamis, annemin ve babamin ise yaklasik 16-17 yaslarinda baslamis. Ne kadar koklu oldugunu anlatiyordur muhtemelen bu yaslar. Yaklasik bir 25-30 seneden bahsediyorum suan. Baba tarafi ve anne tarafinin arkasindan yenge, hala, teyze, amca derken epey kalabalik bir aile olarak buraya gelinirmis yazlari. Ben de kendimi bildim bileli her yaz burdayimdir. Daha hic gelmedigim bir zaman olmadi diyebilirim.

My Karaincir adventure has began in my mother’s womb, and my mom’s and dad’s started approximately at age 16-17. I think these ages tell how rooted we are here. I am talking about approximately 25-30 years now. After my dads and moms family, uncles aunts and cousins came here for the summer. Ever since i come here for the summer. I haven’t skipped a year.

Yogun bir yasami olan insanlarin cogu yaz tatili icin daha sakin kafa dinlemelik mekanlari tercih ediyor gibime geliyor. Bende Istanbul’da butun sene deli dolu yasadigim icin tatilimi sakin gecirmeyi tercih ediyorum. Ve Karaincir bunun icin ideal bir yer. Bayram zamani disinda alisilagelmisin disinda bir kalabaligi olmayan, sabah cikip ekmeginizi sutunu ve gazetenizi sira beklemeden alabiliceginiz arkasindan ufak bir Ege kahvaltisi ve deniz keyfi. Kisacasi bence ideal bir dinlenme yeri.

It seems like most of the people with a busy life prefer quiet places to rest for the summer vacation.  I am living a pretty busy and crazy life back in Istanbul, so my choice is to have a restful summer. And Karaincir is the ideal place for that. The only time that it is crowded is when it is the holiday season. You can go buy your bread, milk and newspapers without waiting in a line, after that a small Mediterranean breakfast and then the sea time. This is the ultimate peace here.
