Evet sonunda bu yaziyi da ekliyebiliyorum. Thailand gezimden doneli neredeyse 1 ay olmak uzere cok gec kaldim bunu eklemekle biliyorum. Ama dondugumden beri okula tesekkurler bos birakmadi gerek sunumlar gerek sinavlar olsun. Tabi yaklasmakta olan finallere de sevgilerimi iletiyorum buradan.

Yes, finally I am adding this post. It has been almost 1 month since I came back from my Thailand trip and yes I know I am a little too late to add it. But since I am back I have been dealing with all the school things, the exams and the presentations. And of course the lovely finals, sincerely.

Peki gezim nasil? Biraz yorucuydu acikcasi, kisa zamanda cok sey yapmaya calismaktan kaynaklaniyor galiba tabi 40 derece havayida es gecmemek lazim.

So how was my trip? It was a little bit exhausting actually, it is most probably because we tried to do a lot in a short time and of course, 40 degrees didn’t help much.

Ilk olarak Bangkok’a indim, ucus biraz uzun surdu cunku biraz fazla kahve ictigimden uyuamadim yolda. Indikten sonra bir sonraki ucus icin yaklasik 6 saat vaktim oldugundan havaalaninda takildim. Yemek yedim kahve ictim dizi izledim gibi gibi. Yemeklere olan ilk bakisim ACI oldu. Cok fazla baharat kullaniyorlar siz ne kadar acisiz da isteseniz bir Turk mutfagina uygun olmayan dereced aci geliyor bence.

So first I have arrived in Bangkok, the flight took a little bit too long, it was also because I couldn’t sleep.  After I have landed I had approximately 6 hours for my next flight so I hang out at the airport. Some food, more coffee, reading time, catching up with some shows. By the way, my first impression on food was spicy like a lot. And I think it doesn’t match with the Turkish cuisine, we don’t consume that much spice or peppers. Or maybe it is just me who cannot handle that much spice. 

Phuket’e indigimzde gece saat 12 civarindaydi otele vardigimizda da neredeyse 1 olmustu galiba. Hepimizin aklinda ki tek sey odalarin soguk olmasiydi galiba.

When we landed in Phuket it was almost 12 and it was around 1 when we arrived at the hotel. All we could think was having a cold room and laying down for a bit.

2 gunumuzu bu guzel tropik otelde gecirdik. Gercekten guzel tam kafa dinlemelik biryerdi. Servisleri guzeldi, insanlar tatliydi, yemekleri fena degildi. Sahile 5 dk yurume mesafesinde ve otelde 3-4 tane havuz vardi birbirine bagli olan.

We spent 2 days in a tropical, beautiful hotel. It was really good, exactly for a weekend getaway. The service was good, the staff was nice, the foods were so-so. It was 5 minutes walk to the beach and there were also 3-4 pools that were connected.

Aksam yemekleri icin genelde  sehir merkezinde yedik. Tabi ki de bir aksam yemegimiz klasik bir sekilde Hard Rock Cafe’deydi. Diger yemegimizi de lokal bir restoranda yedik, yemekleri guzeldi ama lokal birsey denemedim tabiki de, pek benlik birsey degil o yeni tatlar deneme isi. Sehir merkezi epey hareketliydi, gerci tam haftasonu oradaydim belki de onunla alakalidir.

We had our dinners in the city centre most of the time. And of course one of them was in Hard Rock Cafe. And we had one dinner in a local restaurant, it was good but I didn’t try anything local. Tasting local things or new things is not my kind of thing when it comes to food. The city centre was so crowded and alive, it could be because it was a weekend. 

Phuket’ten sonra Bangkok’a donduk geri. Kisa bir geziydi ama guzeldi. Aksam yemegi icin Quartier adinda bir alisveris merkezine gittik ve Jones The Grocer diye bir restorande yemek yedik gercekten guzledi. Ben pek oturmadan kalktim cunku Hard Rock Cafe’ye gitmek istiyorum. Skyline treni ile gittim ve birazda sehir icinde yurudum. Gercekten mukemmeldi. Canli performansa denk geldim, birami da aldim ve onlari dinledim. Son gunumun keyfini cikardim diyelim. Bangkok’da kaldigimiz yerde yine guzel biryerdi. Somerset Lake Point, merkeze metro ile yakin bir residence.

After Phuket we flight back to Bangkok. It was a really short trip but it was really good. For dinner, we went to a mall called Quartier and ate in a restaurant called Tom The Grocer. It was a really good restaurant but I didn’t stay long because I wanted to go to the Hard Rock Cafe. I picked the Skyline Train and walked around the city for a while. I watched a live performance and enjoyed my beer on my last day on my trip. It was perfect. And we stayed in a place called Somerset Lake Point which is close to the city centre with the metro. 

Phuket’e doydum ancak Bangkok daha bitmedi. Ileride kesinlikle gelip uzun zaman gecirmeyi dusundugum sehirlerde ilk siralarda. Gezilmeyi gorulmeyi bekleyen bir suru mekan var.

Phuket was done but Bangkok needs more exploring. Bangkok is on the top of my list that I need to come back again and stay for a longer time when I had the time. There are much to see and discover.
